COVID-19 (Coronavirus) Guidance

We have been closely monitoring the outbreak of COVID-19 (Coronavirus) and, following advice  from Public Health England and the British Union and South England Conference of Churches, we have now resumed meeting physically for worship.

While The Oasis Leadership Team have decided to open the church church for services, to minimize time indoors, some services remain  online. Please see below what we have planned:

Prayer Online:
Every Wednesday between 7.30 - 8.30pm we will have a church-wide prayer via Zoom. This will provide an opportunity to check-in with each other. Any member can join and share a prayer request, including prayer requests through this website, following which there will be a time to pray for our country, world leaders, civic leaders, medical staff and for each other.

Sabbath Content:

10:00 - 11:30 am – Worship Service at the church, Christ Church, Wanstead Green.

12.30 - 13:30 pm – Online Weekly Bible study in location small groups (please use the contact page to request the zoom link which can be sent to you by email)

Life Groups:

The true definition of a church is not a building but a group of people who share Life together as believers in a loving and gracious God. While the corona virus pandemic requires that we observe social distancing, it does not have to mean the end of Christian fellowship. Over the next few weeks there will be some among us who want reassurance and hope from the word of God in the midst of the gloom and doom that surrounds us. This will be best done using technology platforms we have. Details will be published on our website.

Supporting one another:
With very tough times ahead for some families, we want to be able to help where we can. If you are in need or you know of someone who is, please do not hesitate to call the Elder or the Pastor.

The Pastoral and Leadership team will make sure we keep connected to every member through WhatsApp and phone visits. We also encourage every member to make keeping an eye on one another, especially our elderly and vulnerable a priority.

If you are not a member and would like to be part of what we are doing to support each other and the vulnerable in the community, please connect with us through the Contact page.

Above all  maintain your confidence in God. The Bible says "You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you!" Isaiah 26:3
