Oasis Church Thame was planted from Long Crendon Baptist Church in 1999 under the leadership of Pastor Paul Godfrey. They were joined by other Christians in the area including a remnant from Thame Baptist Church.

In 2005 Oasis Church Thame became part of Newfrontiers (An international family of churches together on a mission, currently approaching 500 churches worldwide).

Paul Godfrey and family left Oasis Church Thame in December 2007 to plant a Newfrontiers church in Valencia, Spain.

January 2008 saw Anthony Taylor take on the leadership of Oasis Church Thame beginning a new and exciting chapter in the life of the church community.
