Our History
Grace Church Thame was planted from Long Crendon Baptist Church in 1999 (with the name Oasis Church) under the leadership of Paul Godfrey. They were joined by other Christians in the area including a remnant from Thame Baptist Church.
In 2005 Oasis Church became part of the Newfrontiers family of churches, a group of about 800 churches worldwide. We joyfully accept all the encouragement and accountability that come to us via Newfrontiers.
Our Newfrontiers vision is to extend the kingdom of God on earth through restoring the church, making disciples, training leaders, starting churches, and reaching the nations
You can find out more about Newfrontiers on their website www.newfrontierstogether.org
January 2008 saw Anthony Taylor and his family move to Thame to take on the leadership of Oasis Church beginning a new and exciting chapter in the life of the church community.
Since the appointment of Anthony Taylor as Pastor in 2008, the church has experienced continued growth in all areas.
In January 2012 the church relaunched itself as Grace Church Thame. |
