Nehemiah 2:9-
What an encouraging start to the year we have had! We have seen increased Holy Spirit activity in our Sunday meetings as well as dynamic prayer meetings where God has spoken powerfully to us about “getting ready” for what he is about to do among us.
As we move into this next quarter we will be turning our attentions to the Book of Nehemiah. Nehemiah is charged by God with the task of rebuilding Jerusalem after it had lay in ruins for many years. After assessing the condition of Jerusalem’s walls he sets about inspiring and envisioning the people of God to rebuild the walls.
While rebuilding the walls Nehemiah faced many trials along the way but what shines through clearly is his commitment to pray and his unshakeable faith in “the God of heaven, the great and awesome God, who keeps his covenant of love with those who love him and obey his commands”
We, like Nehemiah will be building the Oasis Church to God’s plans. The task ahead
will require courage, time, energy, commitment and team-
This is what we are aiming for. To dream big dreams and pray for God to do immeasurably more.
